Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition

Injustice 2 (PS4 vs PS4 Pro)
Considering selling my PS4 and getting a PS4 Pro for this game if it helps the game run smoother and has any other enhancements. I don't currently have a 4K TV though, but in the future I certainly will. Should I though? Is it actually better on 1080p displays?

If you want a 4k tv then upgrade your pc and connect it to it. Ps4 dont uses real 4k but it upscales from 1080p which means that it renders on 1080p the games then upsaces them to 4k. And it dont have 4k+ textures like the new games on pc have. In other words DONT get ps4 pro. For the same money that ps4 pro costs(400 euros) you can gert a GTX 1070 that can run evrything at 4k max settings with much better graphics thant he pixelated and blurry graphics of ps4 pro or any other console.

Wasn't asking about the PC. My PC can already handle 4K and VR. And I am aware about the 4K upscale. Just curious about the other things. If my current library will benefit from it then it's worth it to me.

The only scenarios in which getting a ps4 pro is viable requires you to not have a ps4 at all, and already having a ps4. No, it isn't worth it for a fighting game. Not many games support the 4k, and most developers won't likely ever care unless they have plenty budget. I ordered a ps4 for injustice 2 while not having a ps4 at all, and I chose the slim. It was inexpensive, takes up less space, and runs games optimally.

And if that logic isn't good enough for you, here's more. While you don't have a 4k tv, you're not benefitting from the 4k. Later on, when you do have a 4k monitor, the ps4 would be cheaper. So you're saving money which is a plus, and there's no drawback.

A 1070 can't do 4k max settings at acceptable frame rates for a PC gamer.

Yeah, I wouldn't think so either. I have a GTX 1080 Hybrid myself.

As far as I know the game runs fine with or without the Pro. The Pro enables better shadows, lighting, motion blur, and texture resolutions.

I sold my PS4 and got the Pro as there are several exclusives I'm looking forward to that are likely to have Pro enhancements (and some games I already own). Horizon takes excellent advantage of the Pro features, I expect the others to as well. Plus games like Until Dawn that don't have Pro enhancements are still bolstered by the Game Boost or whatever it's called. Bloodborne wasn't improved much.

For me the $200 cost ($400 - $200 from selling my vanilla PS4) was worth it for that. That's basically what you have to weigh. I was also seriously considering a 4k TV but decided to wait as the LG 2017s debuted at a much higher price than I expected. So for now I'm still on my 1080p plasma but not regretting the Pro purchase.
Thank you Knightfall. That's what I wanted to hear.
Why don't you wait until the Xbox Scorpio comes out? Hell, even the Xbox One S runs 4k video.
Scoprio just like ps4 and ps4 pro are nothing compared to a strong pc. A strong pc will destroy all of those outdated consoles. And i am sure that pc version will be out long before scorio release anyway(it will release on q4 2017 so october-December like ps4 pro released on q4 2016). Just ugprade your pc and run it on 4k-8k max settings at 100+ fps. The PC version of Tekken 7 that releases next week will give you a very good idea of how much better the PC version of Injustice 2 will be compared to any console. Cant wait until i see 4k max settings 100+ fps TEKKEN 7video on a pc with ryzen 1700 or better and gtx 1080 ti.

Agree with you on everything else, but sometimes the work isn't put in to make the PC version as superior as it could be. NR doesn't really have a good track record with that. I prefer PC first as well, but sometimes the games don't look any better and perform worse. Injustice 1 PC vs. PS3 is very close IMO. It could be different this time, I just take it game by game and wait for reviews.

Also, OP and I are both on TVs so we're not worried about greater than 60 fps. Of course your points hold for going 100+ fps.

I went ahead and got the PS4 Pro. I'm happy with it. Also my PC is very high end if I didn't already make it clear. I'll probably get the game on PC as well eventually. After the headaches last year with Arkham Knight and Mortal Kombat X I don't care to really play it on PC when it comes out, which means I'll likely wait even longer for the PC version once all of the bugs are worked out. Also I like PS4 for the exclusive titles, and even the smallest bit of improvements on my 1080P display make me happy. I also picked up some exclusive titles today: Uncharted Collection, Uncharted 4, Ratchet & Clank, and Horizon: Zero Dawn. I am also looking forward to Crash Bandicoot N Sane Trilogy. I absolutely loved playing them when those games came out on PS.

You're such a typical pc fanboy. PS4 Pro can run games at native 4K, it already has multiple native 4k games. For anything not natively 4K, PS4 Pro renders them at resolutions from 1440p to 1800p, then uses checkerboard rendering to reach 4K, which from all reports looks pretty similar to native 4K, at a lot less performance cost.

And the GTX 1070 isn't a console mate, you can't just plug it into the TV and play games on it, there's a whole PC and 4K monitor that needs to go with it.
maybe it can run 4k with Doom1 1993 graphics quality maybe. But it cant run 5k-8k max settings(the first 8k monitor is already out) like this guy is doing https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=negx0XWYLUs It also cant run games at 140 and 200 fps like a powerful pc. It cant run 8k+ textures that pc will run very soon when 16+ GB graphics cards release. If ypu got ps4 pro only due to Batman Arkham Knight and Mortal Kombat 10 bad pc versions then you did a bad mistake. Just because 2 games come broken on pc wasnt a reason to get a console. Consoles will always be way behind pc. Also Crash Badniccot has been confirmed as a timed ps4 exculive so it will come to pc later.
