We're really sorry about that and will look into it! Have you tried running on Administrator Mode? What version of Windows are you using, and what is your audio card?

Crasp! :D Oct 17, 2013 @ 8:06am
Running as Administrator fixed it for me, on Windows 7 x64 with an Asus Xonar DG. Glad that it did, since the sound is great!

I am using Windows Vista 64 bit. Run as Administrator doesn't seem to work for me. Still getting 'No sound device detected. Sounds might not play" :(

That's a really weird bug. We don't know how to fix it at the moment, but we've put it on the list of bugs to look into. Have you tried compatibility mode?

I've tried all comparability modes, different speakers/headsets, restarting the PC (of course).

Both my speakers and headsets have no issue with any other software.

If I find anything that works I'll let you know.

I am having the exact same issue here. Win7 64 bit, Asus Xonar sound card. Running the game as administrator works, but that's just a workaround. Please try to fix this issue ;)

I've got the same problem. I've tried running as admin, compatibility modes and updating drivers. Still no sound :(
I am using Vista 32bit.

Just to make sure, all of you are using the Xonar sound card?

at least i do

It is the same problem for me with an ASUS Xonar DG soundcard on Win7 x64. It's not unique to Nuclear Throne though. My own Game Maker projects have the same issue and I've seen posts related to it being an inherent Game Maker problem.

Run as Administrator doesn't work for me.

Hey, guys!

After a bit more investigation I found a solution. In the Asus Xonar driver turn off "GX". It's working perfectly for me now.

Win7 64bit, Xonar. No sound. Run as Admin doesn't help.
