Anyone who plays robot 99% of the time wants to comment on this feature? :P
I agree! The way it is fine. Only problem is eating the wrong weapon
A prompt could pop up like "E to swap, RMB to eat" so you know when you can safely eat weapons on the floor.
A lot of times though, I enjoy killing the last enemy a bit further away from me so I don't get sucked in the portal; then leisurely stroll about the level perusing the various weapons that have dropped; switching and picking and choosing; considering whether I should eat, keep or switch out one or the other, and even pondering whether I should eat one weapon with another particular weapon type in my secondary so I could top up on a specific kind of ammo. For Robot fans, I'm sure you've done this before, heh.
In my opinion, it should be reworked so it works in a small area, kind of like a wrench attack, transforming weapons into ammo or medpacks. It could even work on some props, like the abandoned cars.
