What do you think is the best : Crystal's Throne butt or B Ultra mutation ?
Just wondered what was actually the best between teleportation and juggernaut (slow walk during shield).

I sometimes thought the teleportation was better, because slowly walking and shielding at the same time doesn't sound much powerful to me, given that the shield activates quite fast and that you can't fire guns while shielding (unless you have a laser cannon).

And the teleportation makes Crytal much more mobile than the juggernaut does imo.

What if these two abilities changed places (juggernaut as Throne butt, teleportation on B ultra) ?

I'm not asking this change to be, I just think the question above deserved to be asked.

I'm hoping they change crystals active ability a lot, really.
Maybe something like this:

Active - Shield, Much shorter duration (like half a second), much faster recover as well.
TB - Pulse wave. Shielding will push nearby enemies back, reflect projectiles at 2x their normal speed.

Ult. A - Teleport (combined with TB, this could be really fun)
Ult B - I guess 4 hp is fine, just kind of boring

Crystal's 'Fortress' ultra should work like the Guardian's Heart[riskofrain.wikia.com] in Risk of Rain - a passive 4 health shield that regenerates after you haven't taken damage for a while. As long as the shield is active any damage you take will hit the shield instead of you, and it will absorb remaining damage when it breaks. Should be a good way of giving players a buffer in case they get hit by a few stray shots.

That sounds great, but also extremely overpowered! We did actually play with an idea for Rogue's passive for a while that'd give her a shield that could take 1 damage and regenerated after a while, but decided not to implement it as it kinda goes against the idea of having gameplay that never encourages waiting.

that pulse thing would be OP. crystal only shields shots, that pulse thing would also make her near enough immune to melee

what if Fortress just made it so all enemies did 1 less damage rather than giving you 4 health. so bullets did 2 instead of 3 and maggots did nothing. right now it's just rhino skin and that's really boring.

We could balance it out with a slower recovery time. That way, shielding has to become very tactical, instead of spammy.

I really dislike crystals throne butt. It decreases your reaction speed to shots since you have to place yourself somewhere safe and often the safest place is where you were already standing. For this reason I prefer her B ultra mutation. The slow walk is usually enough to keep you away from melee enemies and is just quite helpful in general.
How about a mini sharp teeth effect for reflecting/absorbing shots with the shield?

Maybe it's cause I suck but I find Crystal's Throne Butt sort of a hassle. I find myself dying a lot because of it.
