Yung Venuz? Where'd that come from?
Can someone explain why Y.V. Stands for Yung Venuz? And where did Yung Venuz come from?

He came from a game that Vlambeer made called Gun Godz. You can download it free but not on steam

Y.V. = J.W.
Illuminati confirmed

Venuz cos he's mansion is on Venus and Yung is his gangster/rap name that means he's cool and stuff :D Just guessing.

And his spelling is horrid. :fhappy:

I read somewhere that Y.V is the player character in gun godz, not the boss. As he kills the boss he becomes a Gun God. He somehow ended up on earth.

i dunno i think he is the boss in gungodz (i could be totally wrong) but the last boss is a triangle with an eye as is YV but i could see how there could be more than one triangle guy
P.S vungvenus's twitter account is funny as heck hence the "moni" spelling

Somewhere meaning one angry dude who thinks he wrote the Gun Godz lore ? :P

He was the last boss in that game. As a "god" he can't be killed so i guess he got bored of his mansion and went down to earth to shoot some stuffs.

Y.V. is the protagonist of Gun Godz. At the end of the game he defeats the old Gun God and becomes the new Gun God.

One of the loading tips in Y.V.'s mansion (which is a remake of a level from Gun Godz) is "Four years later...", implying that the events of Gun Godz precede Nuclear Throne by four years.

And he looks the same as the last boss ? :P Yung isn't the same as Young guys. Show me prof that he is the protagonist and i'll believe you.

And that quote is there because Vlambeer was started 4 years ago believe. Or 5 ?

An old prototype of Gun Godz (that was a top-down shooter like Nuclear Throne) had Y.V. as the playable character. It's also been confirmed by both Rami and JW.

What was confirmed by Rami and JW ? Show me where did they confirm something. And an old screenshot of an old prototype doesn't prove anything. They had a design for a character that they couldn't show in an FPS game so they changed it to be the last boss. Who you play as in Gun Godz is some prisoner Y.V. had in lock down but who breaks out and tries to kill his enslaver. Y.V. then leaves his mansion to the new guy pretending to have died (guns can't kill a gun god right ?), comes to earth to shoot at something different, something that isn't the same Venusian aliens he killed over and over again. When in Nuclear Throne you come back to his Mansion as Y.V. the aliens shoot at him cos that what they were ordered to do (JW said that on a stream). Shoot at Y.V. for his entertainment. Besides Gun Godz is a game made to promote a website http://venuspatrol.com/gun-godz/ The more lore fans build around it the happier Vlambeer are thats why they didn't and won't confirm anything :P

Anyway you guys should play Gun Gods, it's free for download http://vlambeer.com/3/ Unless you have Windows 8, doesn't work on that OS.

We confirmed that an old prototype of GUN GODZ was a top down roguelike shooter like Nuclear Throne, and that it had a proto-version of Yung Venuz as character. Although that game is not canon in any way, shape or form, Yung Venuz and his companions in that game do exist in the continuity.

Any other information we don't really confirm, because we like seeing what you all build around it :)

so on one hand i do really enjoy the guys at vlambeer leaving some of the lore and such up to our own interpretation but i would like to know (perhaps gieron the wiki lord knows?) if sometime in the future the lore will be revealed? 8)

Id say yea. Each character will have an ending and stuff. There probably wont be any like cutscene movies or anything like that (maybe tho ?). We will see in what form Vlambor decides to deliver the lore but in some form they said they will.
