There's no Chicken user in the galaxy that would swap the sword for a wrench. If you have selected that character means that you at least like swords.
K.H. don't You agree ?
But that's just me...
It's much deeper then that.
Chicken' sword is a unique weapon, made only for one character. I'm not simply asking for a buff, it's balancing that we're talking about and most of all, having fun. I think that Leadraps made an exellent point and by the way I'm not the only one who thinks that the katana is ridiculously weak.
For Me this is the solution that makes everyone happy.
There are no unique anythings in a video game. Anything and everything can be copy/pasted in a digital format. And even if we accept 'unique' as being attached to a single character welcome to protochests and swapping in coop. It is simply a starter weapon that is intended to be replaced just like all the other starter weapons. In fact it is better than the other starting weapons already because the ability to reflect makes it viable longer. You are straight up asking for a buff for it to be better than another weapon for no reason other than 'it's a sword'.
This effectively kills your argument because it goes from weapon balance to 'I like swords'. I'm glad we can all agree that swords are cool, but that does not mean swords should be the bestest weapons ever. In fact given the Nuclear Throne worlds swords are rare on purpose. Not sitting around everywhere.
How would this make anyone who disagrees with you happy? It goes directly against what K.H. was saying and the concept of a variety of weapons in the game. The game encourages a variety of styles of play through weapon drops and to undermine that with a perpetually improving weapon would be the devs shooting themselves in the foot with a rocket.
If you like the sword then use it all you want. If you want to role play as Chicken and cling to a dated weapon before feeling her sadness as you give it up for something else then enjoy. However to compromise a portion of the game over a gif image labeled Chicken's Sword is not something I can support.
I'm confused.
