Is skeleton worth it? and if so tips for unlocking?

So besides frog i know you can unlock skeleton if you die in a necro circle with melting but what i don't know is is he worth it? from what i know he's a really hard character to play (which i love cause melting's my fave) but still i wanna know if he's so unique or just interesting enough to unlock for more than an achieve probs and if so any tips as to how i would go about doing it because i don't know how i would be able to perfectly time my death.

he has trash speed, accuracy and less hp (2 more than melting surprisingly enough) plus a so-so active

I wouldn't bother unless you like challenges or really want that achievement

Skeleton is actually pretty fun to play imo. His active if you take Throne Butt and Ultra B is really fun to use and can lead to some crazy builds. Take extra feet with him though, since he's super slow.

The irritating thing is he's annoying and difficult to get. I personally unlocked a Golden Bazooka on Melting so I can start with it any time I want. When I reach the labs I wait until a necromancer circle appears somewhat close to a wall, then I go stand in it and fire my bazooka into the wall to kill myself. You can also use a Blood Launcher/Cannon/Hammer to kill yourself, save edit one in if you want or just hope to get it. Some people also just stand in the circle and wait for a Freak to hit them, but that's hard to do imo.

Skeleton in his current state also gets the mutations you had as Melting, so you get a lot more mutations as him, which is nice (Rhino Skin and I think Extra Feet don't carry over though, so make sure to not take them as Melting, and take them after turning into Skeleton).

You don't really unlock him, per se. Skeleton is playable, but only in the run you're playing. It's a nice easter egg for Melting players that happen to die around a necromancer, but that's about it.

Is he worth it? Well, do you like a challenge?

[Hand's Hermit Permit]

Not worth it for gameplay purposes. He's junk and you can't unlock him permanently like other characters. The 4 HP and crap accuracy I could deal with, it's his shambling slow speed that makes him a chore for me to play. It's slower than you think it is. Thank goodness I got the unstoppable achievement on the first try. My whole run, I never rolled extra feet either. Level ultra while moving super slow.

To become him reliably you need to take an explosive you can kill yourself with or a blood weapon. I ended my run multiple times trying to get the enemies to kill me in the circle. It's nowhere near reliable, you need a blood weapon or a dangerous instant explosive like the nuke launcher, which is what I used (obviously you wouldn't take boiling veins.)

Huh? I havent played as skeleton since around the time it was found out but im sure they kept it so you have to die while inside the purple circle, not just stand in it.

He was trying to imply that the enemies would kill you before the circle disappeared.
