Current state of the Ultra weapons

Here are my thoughts on all the Ultra weapons, and which need some small changes.

Ultra Revolver

Amazing weapon. Great point damage and fire rate, good for single target enemies.

Since they changed it to 2 ammo per shot and less rads it became A LOT better. Didn't even need to be made automatic in my eyes, but I'm not complaining about that of course.

Suggested changes: Doesn't need any more adjustments/changes.

Ultra Shotgun

Bad weapon now, in it's current state. Uses WAY too many rads and also uses a pretty large amount of ammo. Used to be a good weapon for mid-range crowds or close-up for single target tanky enemies.

The change to it's rads and ammo consumption made me and a lot of people never take it again.

Suggested changes: Needs to use a lot less rads and preferably 2 ammo again. If Vlambeer thinks it's a bit too powerful then they can adjust the amount of pellets and/or damage per pellet a tiny bit instead.

Ultra Crossbow

Great weapon with one big drawback, it uses too many rads. It has good damage, good homing with Bolt Marrow and amazing piercing. Fire rate is also good since they buffed it.

Suggested changes: Needs to use less rads, that's it. Great weapon otherwise.

Ultra Grenade Launcher

Great weapon and really fun to use. The recent changes to the piercing/detonation and damage of the explosion (uses the green more powerful explosions) made it a great weapon. It even drops some rads after exploding now.

Suggested changes: Doesn't need any more adjustments/changes.

Ultra Laser Pistol

(In it's normal, non bugged state)

Great weapon if you have Laser Brain. Amazing for crowds. Rads and ammo usage is fine I think.

Ultra Shovel

Great melee weapon. Amazing for crowds. Fire rate and rad usage is in a good place I think.

(For those who are going to say the Ultra Shovel is too good, that's more because of melee than the actual weapon. I'd like to keep this discussion on the state of the specific Ultra weapons)

TL;DR: Ultra Shotgun needs to use less rads (and probably less ammo) and Ultra Crossbow needs to use less rads. The rest of the Ultra weapons are in a good spot in my opinion.

Agreed with most of it, especially the ultra shotgun. It's been nerfed to complete uselessness imo. It's a shame too cause it was my favorite weapon for quite some time. Ultra laser needs more damage imo. Of course it's great with laser brain, every energy weapon becomes great with laser brain, but without it, it's simply not that good. Maybe I'm using it wrong though (assuming that's actually possible to use a weapon wrong).

I think instead of ultra weapons using less rads, a mechanic with enemies dropping more rads per loop could be effective, similar to how they gain the 10% HP per loop

It uses more rads and 3 ammo per shot, where as before it was a reasonable amount of rads and 2 ammo per shot.

I agree, Ultra Shotty just isn't that viable compared to the other Ultras
