Nuclear Throne
Automatic Explosive Weapons and the Chain of Death
Gatling Bazooka and Auto Grenade Shotgun

As explosions can deal damage to explosive projectiles like missiles or grenades a "chain of death" happens if you use these weapons as they are designed to be used - like sort of exploding machineguns. What i mean by that is a chain of explosions leading straight to your character which results in your character being killed.

Who actually picks up a Gatling Bazooka if he sees one ? It's not as bad with Auto Grenade Shotgun but it still can happen.

Do you think this should be changed ? I suggest missiles and mini grenades not taking damage from explosions. Or coding these two weapons to have projectiles that don't take damage from explosions.

Regular Grenades are kinda cool with this cos you can stack them. For example an ultra grenade or a sticky grenade, stacking that in one place will create a big explosion as one grenade damages the other. There are no automatic weapons that use regular grenades to. Nukes are also fine, bazooka type weapons use a different projectile.

How about Normal explotions do Nuclear Explo damage and Nuclear ones do 3x more while Mini would do normal damage now (Damage to player would stay the same)

A big issue is still that the impact damage is the main damage, which is quite frankly just plain stupid. I expect hitting something with a grenade to do less damage than the explosion itself. Plus the automatic ones are still unusable with ANY fire rate buff. It'd be a start but wouldn't at all be enough.

Damage is not the way of buffing it.

I'd like the AoE to deal the main damage, not the main projectile.

Oh Hi Arrow.
Oh Hey Blaze
To put into perspective how much i dislike explosives in general, I got a couple of Golden Nade Launchers on a couple characters in order to get Y.V.'s B skin. I switch back to the revolver if I play those characters.

Auto GRENADE shotgun.
And as to the rest, if you really want to just run into an area holding down mouse 1 while not having to worry at all about timing or trigger discipline, and expect everything to just go your way, you're playing the wrong game.
I don't expect to run into an area holding M1 and win game GG easy life.
I DO expect to be able to hold down M1 if it please me. Excellent crowd control, good for getting out of corners of burrying myself into one if need be.
Blowing yourself up on your own grenades as they leave your weapon is silly, limits the Explosive weapons (which fall off late game already, so is a HUGE thing) and generally makes the weapons less useful. As I said, a glorified fire rate mutation in every sense.

Well, you did just a moment ago insult me by being a snarky ♥♥♥♥ with "Or if you even reach loops"
Nonetheless, I want to get a point out there.
If you're taking crown of blood, and you know the effect it's going to have..
Not to mention earlier you where saying explosive weapons are trash,
AND there is still boiling Veins...
What exactly are you expecting to happen? You're complaining about a negitive effect that is purely your own fault.
That was Fluury, buddy.
Dragon bros, never sling insults

No worries, batting between two people (Fluury and I) can get a bit overwhelming, no?
Tops for keeping the debate up, though. Drawn out arguments are good. Find a victor so the Devs know what the feck to do.

The only thing I see a real problem with are things like Rogue's Blast armour, and Y.V.'s brapp with explosives.
Those are two things that for sure need to change.

Having myautomatic weapon explode in my own hands because my firerate popped too high leaves a bitter taste in my mouth, but I see the logic in your arugment and kinda agree with a lot of points. I apologise if I came across too agressively, bud.

The issues are Blast armor tripping and firing with too high of a fire rate.

Gatling Bazooka can be used by every character excluding Y.V. because he fires too rapidly. Same applies with Stress and potentially Trigger Fingers.

A player can reasonably stand on the complete opposite side of the stage and fire the Gatling Bazooka at full force, completely secluded from the target and in relative safety, and still will take lethal damage from the reverse chain.

This isn't a case of "just stop firing," this is a case of a weapon becoming unusable at optimal conditions because of no rational reason. Do the same thing with any other weapon type and you won't get nearly as horrid of an outcome: a Minigun will just keep spraying, an Auto-shotgun or Gatling Slugger does the same but with a limited range, an Auto Crossbow will deal tons of damage, a Gatling Bazooka or Auto Grenade Shotgun will chain back to the player with each of the projectiles in the chain not dealing damage to the target since they're detonated before reaching the destination, Laser Rifle and Plasma Rifle will continuously pelt the target.

These are comparisons of all of the auto/gatling variants in each weapon category. It's very obvious which one is getting the ♥♥♥♥ end of the stick.

This itn batting against two people but more about 90% of the nuclear throne community
