Pound her at long range.
Melee never hurts either
At least, she never charged when I did it this way.
what I mean is her starting weapon is good enough to carry you through the oasis skip which if done on 1-1 will lower difficulty by a lot. (this means better weapons drop later but it also means harder areas are filled with lower enemy counts).
because you need to get further to have the same benefit as if you didn't do the skip.
but the same thing that determins weapon drops also determins level difficulty (which is different then enemies seen).
- Elite IDPD differ only slightly; Grunts come first, then Inspectors. Elite Inspectors are incredibly easy to take out with the Rogue Rifle, just let them come at you and fill them with holes. Elite Grunts, however, take a bit more work. Don't ever break a line of sight between yourself and the Grunt, since that is the only time it will ever lob off a rocket. Face them head-on.
- HQ is only difficult if you can't deal with IDPD. Rogue Runs are the perfect opportunity to become more familiarized with them.
- Get good with the Rogue Rifle. Honestly, it's one of the most solid weapons in the game until about halfway through the first loop, after which point a Hyper Rifle is a good trade-off. You're guaranteed a good weapon from the get-go if you're able to manage with this thing.
- Adding on to the above, One Weapon Runs with the Rifle are easy. Recycling Gland and Eagle Eyes really make the rifle shine, and having only one weapon type funnels all the ammo drops into that ammo type. Things to consider.

This video covers Rogue play pretty well.
- If you're trying to get her B Skin the easy way, The Captain's greatest weakness is a Melee weapon. It doesn't matter how incredibly ♥♥♥♥♥♥ it is, so long as it swings at a decent speed. If you're after The Captain, if you want to take her "crown," keep a melee weapon as a sidearm and get accustomed to hotswapping.
