There is an addon mod for NTT that will unlock a bunch of debug features. You could use these as cheat codes to make the game easier, but that's probably taking it too far unless you've completed a good portion of the game already (not just beating the Throne on a character or two). It won't affect your progress on the normal game, as the mod uses its own save file and leaves a copy of the base game unmodded.
tI's pissing me off geting hit once but losing two and sometimes even 4 HP - that's what I mean with unfair...
Also the levels are random buildup and this creates sometimes very unfair situations like spawning infront of several armed enemies like this scorpions with no cover around and so you have no chance to dodge the shots...
The ammunition is often a problem too... Most weapons don't have much ammo you can carry or have an insane firerate - I allways try to get a melee weapon especially the wrench but for some enemies that's not all to effective at least if you have several enemies around you but better than a gun with no ammo than you're screwed.
I promise there is consistency in the amount of damage you receive. The level generation is random indeed but there are some things put in place to allow for things like safe spawns. It is usually finding the right approach to defeat the enemies is the hard part early on. The game is not easy but it is *mostly* fair.
NT does a good job of being fair, as long as you understand that its designed to beat you. It'll take time and experience to learn its tricks and enemy patterns. It'll be worth the effort when win :)
I mean... does it really make sense to go for this portal and crowns?
