Unlocking the Golden Nuke Launcher/Golden Disc Gun

I've recently gotten back into this game to pursue my goal of getting all the achievements again and I only have two left. Unfortunately there's a bug right now where the Golden Nuke Launcher and Golden Disc Gun only spawn if you have the Crown of Guns equipped. Is anyone aware if this is just a general flag and you can get them anywhere as long as you have the Crown of Guns or does it need to be from a weapon drop?

Oh ♥♥♥♥, I think I know you.
No idea what you're talking about with the bug thing, you can only get those weapons from hard mode, golden disc gun drops pre loop and golden nuke drops post loop in hard mode, don't think you need to have crown of guns on.

Yes the bug you are talking about is still around sadly. You need to use crown of guns on hardmode to get golden disc gun and golden nuke launcher to drop. It is fixed on the latest NTT build but that one has not made it to steam yet sadly.

Oh no, I know you need it. I meant that if you have the Crown of Guns equipped can it just appear in general or does it need to be from a weapon drop.

I am not sure but I presume it can drop from enemies and chests. Sorry for misunderstanding!
