Tips for a melting build?

I'm trying to loop with melting, any tips. I currently don't have any specific things I do with melting regarding mutations and weapons. Also which golden weapon should I use?

for weapons, i'd say an explosive (grenade shotgun, bazooka, etc.) and a melee (shovel)

for golden weapon, wrench or splinter gun, depending on how good you are at dodging

Looping with Melting is pretty much the same as looping with other characters, the only difference is you can't take huge amounts of damage at a time because your HP buffer is smaller.

The Golden Wrench is the easy choice. It's probably the best golden weapon of all to begin with, but it's even better for Melting because it helps prevent damage.

Mutations are just about what you'd think. Rhino Skin and Strong Spirit help you not die in one hit. Scarier Face will help you kill more easily, thus preventing damage and saving ammo, and with Gamma Guts it can also prevent lots of damage to you. Long Arms will improve the Wrench's defensive properties. Throne Butt can help kill things and clear projectiles off of the screen. Boiling Veins can let you use powerful Explosive weapons and only do minor damage to yourself.

If it's just looping, then there aren't any particularly tricky parts. Big Bandit and Big Dog are trivial, the Wrench allows you to beat Lil Hunter very easily, and as long as you have decent offensive power, the dogs and Throne should be easy enough.

I'd say Golden machine gun or Golden assult rifle simply because of their ability to spam. Contrary to most people, i don't think using melee as Melting is an overall great choice since: 1. Melting has a built-in ability to destroy projectile; 2. You don't really want anything to get close, even to melee range, to you. Well, unless you have an entire set of E. Sword to play with.

Stay in cover and spam. Your main goal is not radiation since you get extra rads as a passive but to get as many enemies killed as you can while in cover so you have many corpses as a barrier to right-click on.

In regard to mutations, Bolling veins, Stronge spirit, Rhino skin are a must. Scarier face, Pluto, Gamma guts/Impact wrists can also help immensely.
