Nah jk, he was originally in Gun Godz. Proto Mutant is whom you were playing as in that game, and he defeated the all-mighty gun god, despite the fact most deemed it impossible. Y.V. got impressed, and gave him a blessing of greed, which made moni more common (it wasn't that important for proto's journey but monis are always a great blessing). Also, he's a god. I'm sure he was born with the talent.
