Loop One Tips?
Hey guys! So I've gotten good enough to the point where I can get to The Throne and beat Throne I and Throne II, but from then on, I struggle to get past 1-1 in the loop. Any tips?
Also, I really like to play YV, and he's one of the only characters I can loop with, so tips for him would be appreciated, too. Thanks!

For Nuclear Throne?

Just shoot stuff and don't get shot.

Also remember that the throne definitely exists.

Loop has a lot more enemies, so you'd do well to use weapons that do AoE damage or can pierce.

If you're having trouble, Impact Wrists will demolish the L1 desert area.

It just takes a few visits to learn the loop enemies. Giant flies that spew maggots were my first problem. Having Gamma Guts or Impact Wrists will help out a lot with L1 1-x. Don't forget about the IDPD that spawn (after a certain % of enemies killed?). If you hear the van coming and don't know where, get to a place where you can easily dodge up or down. The van always travels horizontally. If you have melee, get behind it and whack the whole group as they pop out.

I used NTT to activate hardmode and learned the loop desert that way. It's all the same except no vans and no mutations. You'll probably still die at 1-1, but it's free experience to take in. Press T and type /hardmode while playing the Nuclear Throne Together mod.

Huh. I'll try that, gonna make it easier to get used to it since I don't have to waste 10 minutes getting to the throne. Thanks!

Impact Wrists makes life easier. Also, Bolt Marrow + Any bolt weapon is very handy, since it's the only projectile(?) Shielders cannot deflect.

a good tip is to conserve your ammo in the beginning and then just play through the loop like you did with the rest of the game and learn everything

A fun trick with Gamma guts is to watch for the teleport vortex of the IDPD spawning and standing on top of it as they arrive. Cheap shielder kills! Obviously will not work on a van... Impact wrists can set off a chain reaction (before you've fired a single shot, I assume a barrel explodes due to crowding) that kills enough enemies to trigger the cops spawning. Getting spawnkilled by a van is a pretty tedious way to die when you're sporting a good set of guns/mutations.
