Last Coin on 3/3--locked gate and levers?

So I'm on Reminiscences 3/3. Near the beginning of the level is a caged lever, and further along appears to be a giant locked gate (that apparently has wall-climbing decorations beyond the gate and what appears to be a small sewer hole above them); nearby is a room that seems to have barred windows on one side and a locked door on the other--again with a lever inside, out of reach!

I'm still missing one collectable coin for this level, and I've made my way through everything else, killing everyone as I went. Can someone help? How do I open the big gate? Is the last coin beyond that? And what's up with the caged lever and the other one locked in that room?

I'm also stuck on 19 coins and it's driving me crazy, been trying all afternoon to find that damn 20th. Anyone found the 20 coins?

I got all the coins, but I'm very curious about those levers (one locked with a grid and another in a room you cannot enter), anyone ever found a way to get to them?

I'm a bit late to the party, but these levers show up much later. You come back to this location and the lever nearest the elevator is active then. I haven't finished the game yet but the lever nearest to the exit gate hasn't opened up (yet).
