Can I Ghost this game?
I was wondering if I can beat the game with the ghost playstyle (no alerts, no kills, no knockouts etc.), I was also wondering if the game acknowledges ghosting and being undetected for example guards conversations changing or cutscenes changing.

Yes you can. The game rewards you after missions with 'no kill' and 'no alarm' bonuses. I don't think it affects cutscenes/dialogue however, but I'm not very far in so I can't say for certain.

Just to clarify by ghost I mean no contact with enemies, is that possible?

I'm not sure about the later levels, but the very beginning requires you to get spotted, as a tuorial for how getting spotted works.

So far there is only one required fight in the game, and that's in the tutorial just to make sure you know how (and doesn't count against your ghost achievement).

You can certainly do "no alarm" + "no kill" runs, if you're patient and creative and do a lot of planning and trickery. It will really help to learn to use your clone and the growl button to lure away enemies you can't quite avoid, since your clone being spotted won't count against you. (Keep an eye on their alert levels, if you time your growling right the guards will just slowly walk after the clone and you can keep leading them a decent distance before switching back - if you make them run, the clone will die fast. You can also put the clone in a hidden/unreachable spot to serve as a safer lure.)

There is at least one mission objective where you do have to kill an NPC if you want those bonus skill points, but AFAIK that doesn't count against the Mercy achievement since it's an objective.

There are no non-lethal knockouts in the game. You either kill them or you don't.

EDIT: So far I doubt the game has the budget to change up a bunch of dialogue and cutscenes based on how you handled no-name mooks, but you do get extra skill points for completing various required and bonus objectives ("ghost" and "no-kill" are bonus objectives). You can also replay previous missions to pick up any objectives you missed.

I've replayed a couple of missions and yes you can ghost them. You can focus on a different insignia each time or multiple ones. My first play through I was just trying to advance the story. However the replays I have done so far, I was able to get the Mercy, Shadow, and Thief insignias all at once.

Ok, sounds good, to me the mark of a good stealth game is being able to ghost, I might just check this one out.

You can ghost through the game if you go for the shadow and mercy emblems. If you want to go for the thief emblem, then you may have to alter your ghost parameters to using Styx's goblin clone to help you get those tokens.
Although, if Styx's clone is detected, that does not count as an alert to your rating. i.e., you can use the clone as much as you want and be detected as much as you want and you're fine. But if Styx himself is detected then that counts as an alert. You can get through the game without killing anyone though even if you want to go for the thief emblem.

Yes I tryed "Phantom Mode" on this and it works perfectly!

Phantom Mode, applies to all appropriate stealth genres.

-No kills/knockouts
-No items used or taken
-Doors, windows, or entryways left the way they were found (If possible)
-Hardest difficulty
-If avalible all HUD turned off
-No use of wall hacking or aimbotting mechanics
-No suspicion meter/action pop-up

~If one fails start mission or game over (Player chooses)
~Tutorial levels do not apply

Be as if you were never there. In and out, a phantom of shadows and presence.

HUD and doors can't be done, however every thing else works so far
