Controller doesn't work?

I am trying to use my ps3 controller with motioninjoy (pc detects it as xbox360).
This works for every single game with controller support as it just thinks i use a xbox controller, which is compatible with this game.

However i can only sometimes press a button on my controller to navigate menus or confirm after loading that i am ready to go, but ingame it doesn't work and for the first "press a button" after launching it doesn't either.

Bottom line: it doesn't work.
Any ideas?

Turned out for me that motioninjoy was just giving trouble or something. I tried it again today and it worked just fine, try rebooting your pc.
I personally had to reinstall the drivers for motioninjoy and i had a reboot inbetween (nighttime).
