More stealth games

I have played this game and have fell in love with it and the stealth genre so now I am looking for more games like it. I can't play m rated games so dishonored or the thief series are out.

You can't play M-rated games but you played this one with F-words and dirty jokes in it? lol. Dishonored is way less M-rated than this game, to be honest. (And this game IS rated M on some sites, I don't know what the inconsistency is.)

Well the thing is my parents won't let me play m rated games but don't usually check content within the game also if the game is rated m they won't hesitate for a second to say no to a purchase.

You could try Neon Struct which is pretty good but fairly short. Doesn't quite have the same challenge as Styx either. There's also Eldritch made by the same people if you enjoy roguelikes. And although you may not be able to play Thief as in the new remake you can play the original Thief games and you probably won't find better stealth games to play. 1 and 2 are old but classics of the genre, and Deadly Shadows is pretty good too, with a moderately scary level to boot.

If you want something a little different I'd suggest Invisible Inc which plays more like Xcom being turn based etc.

What about Thief: deadly shadows? This one is rated 16.

This might not be the type of stealth game you are looking for, and I am not sure about its Rating either at the moment, but Invisible, Inc. can be a nice game to check out. Turn-based, XCOM-esque gameplay but pure stealth and with randomly generated missions, etc.

I would like to recomment Mark of the Ninja as well, but that game is probably M-Rated, I dunno.

Splinter Cell Chaos Theory is the best Splinter Cell in my opinion. Hidden and Dangerous 2 is also one of my favorites. It can be played 1st and 3rd person. It has some stealth elements and strategy. A real classic and lots of WW2 commando history. These are probably rated M I don't recall. Its refreshing to see your folks care about what you are playing though. However Styxx is violent so not sure what the deal is. Do a search by tag here on steam using third person stealth or stealth and see what pops up.

The Elder scrolls 4/5 can have a heavy stealth game attributed to it. However these are not TRUE stealth games. Mark of the ninja is rated M so thats out. The Splinter Cell series are your best shot with Chaos Theory being the best in my opinion. There is also Deus Ex/Deus Ex human revolution.

Parenting....not understanding something, but banning it because you think its bad for your children.

If you have a console I really enjoyed 007 Bloodstone. One of the better Bond games made and its third person and has some stealth.

Yeah, sometimes I have T rated games with worse content than some M rated games but still can't play some M rated games.

I commend your folks for caring about what you put in front of your eyes. There are things I wish I could back and "unsee" but can't. Let them do their job and know its on your behalf. If you were playing Styxx though that's a pretty good deal. There's other stuff out there just keep lookinig. I'll see if I can come up with anymore suggestions for you.

Don't worry my parents are not dumb or jus use games to babysit they just trust the esrb well enough to let me play M rated games

The Thief games (first 3) are only rated "M" for blood and violence. Way less blood & violence than Styx has in it. Waaaayyyyyyy less. No sex, no nudity, no cursing. Actually, the blood isn't even noticeable. Styx should definately have a "M" rating due to the cursing and violence alone. (loved it by the way).

But the first 3 Thief games as well as the first 3 Splinter Cell games are extremely tame and personally I would let a 7 year old play them with no worries at all. In truth, the rating is just wrong for those games. Very wrong imo.

The reason Mark of the Ninja ( another one of my faves) is rated "M" is for CARTOON violence and cursing. That's it. Again, less than Styx.

Then there's Deus Ex : Human Revolution (stealth mostly but with boss fights) ...only thing I can think of is violence.

Batman series (stealth and all out fighting) "M' for violence, nothing else.

My point is this ... Most "M" rated games are only rated "M" for CARTOON violence. But would it be a game without it ? It would be, but then why not just buy a "walking simulator."

Also, for a different genre of stealth...completely different, there is the Silent Hunter series.

Just a few suggestions you probably were already aware of. Not all of them are "True" Stealth games but they have elements of stealth within them. One last thing .... any game that comes out today in this poltically correct environment is going to contain a "M" rating because everyone wants & needs to cover themselves from any kind of lawsuit.

Personally, Styx closest gameplay to absolutley any other game has to be Thief : Deadly Shadows .... it even has some of the same annoying bugs.
