xbox 360 controller not working

i plugged it in and it just doesnt work. i got it to work somehow but when i started the game up again it didnt work. does anyone have a solution?

Do you have any other controllers/joysticks/etc plugged in? unplug them all except your xbox remote. this is a common problem in a lot games for some reason. I am guessing the game reads the HID-Compliant controller and not the Xbox Controller drivers when booting up.

I plug it after launching the game, and I even disconneted all my usb device, no difference.

I would then recommend trying x360ce (http://www.x360ce.com/) it has helped me before by forcing the game to read controllers. It is simple to use (adds a few files) and is easy to remove (just delete 3 files from game folder)
