Renaissance 2/4 Styx won't grab a certain ledge no matter what i do.

In Renaissance 2/4 on the part where you're climbing up the elevator shaft.
The elevator is falling down so you have to jump and grab these metal outcrops which are sticking out but Styx won't grab the last one no matter what i do.

Is this a glitch? I'm nearly at the end of the game and i don't want to have to quit the game because of bad controls or a bug.

I'm having the same problem. Tried restarting the zone and it's still bugging at the exact same spot.

I managed to do it but it took me about 10-15 tries and i had to save right before i made the jump.
Instead of jumping left i jumped backwards and then moved left in the air towards the outcrop and eventually i managed to grab it.

Thanks for the encouragement; I managed to do it as well -- although the first time I immediately got crushed by the elevator :)

I ran into this too. What I ended up doing was instead of holding down the spacebar like normal to jump to the next hand-hold, I jumped up and left.

I didn't have this issue. I jumped back when the elevator came down if that makes a difference.

I just did this today. No issues for me either. You can just backtrack to avoid the elevator and come back to try to make it to the hook, if it helps.

I am having the same problem. It defiantly looks like a bug since there is prompt "grab on" but it won't when you actually press and hold space
