V3 rules states that marine player can use CP during the genestealer turn each time a marine can see a stealer doing an action
Sorry for quoting the french rule (every one can easily verify the fact in an english version)
" le joueur space marine peut aussi dépenser des PC lors du tour du Genestealer (...) Ils peuvent être utilisé pour tirer, fermer une porte, etc. durant le tour ennemi"
So, i hope the bug will be fixed soon
GhostQlyph is right on the money on the reason why this particular bit was changed. :)
I think it's intentional too ... but i bought the game because it was said the pc game will exactly use the same gameplay (and to encourage further development)
Command point rules is an important part of the gameplay (on boardgame) and i dont think such a feature is complex to implement (maybe complex to code, but we paid for the game!)
Yeah. They did saw it wasn't 1:1 with the board game. They tweaked it to suit a video game.
The idea is simple but coding must be more complex ... i suspect the developper of having chosen the easiest way !
One of the main advantages of making this a video game is that you can have Multiplayer without the need for 2 players having to sit down and play at the same time (in the same place)...
If you're really worried about rule deviations, why not start with something that could be made an optional toggle much easier, i.e. split moves?
The issue isn't with Online games. It's with Asynchronous games. Asynchronous means each player takes a turn, then sends it to the other player to pick up whenever they wish. How would you interrupt the enemy player if you aren't even online?
Ah, thanks!
This differs from the board game in that the SM player cannot prioritize unjams on certain Terminators by chosing not to unjam on others, and a craty GS player can take advantage of this with decoy attacks that leave the Terminator on overwatch in a critical spot without any CP for unjamming.
With this in mind, if one of your Termies is under heavy pressure yet another is "safe" (i.e. no GS can reach himi in that turn), consider keeping the latter out of overwatch.
Thanks for the remark. I didn't noticed the multiplayer was an asynchronous game. I haven't try the multiplayer yet.
So, the real issue lie in the asynchronous game.
Why choosing an asynchronous game that impovorishes the tactical gameplay when you know that the boardgame has a fast gameplay ?
I'm not criticizing the game for not being the replica of the boardgame but because the developers have simplified the gameplays and the tactical option.
