It never had online multiplayer or saying it

Others here confirm this as well.
"A multiplayer video game is a video game in which more than one person can play in the same game environment at the same time."
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multiplayer_video_game
Only some Steam users think Multiplayer means only online co-op.
...I don't think it's unreasonable to assume that Multiplayer means Co-op in this type of game. Some even feel Ubisoft was intentionally vague in this.
Multiplayer could mean competitive online modes. What we assumed was it meant the Kung Foot mode was online.
Either way, you can seek a refund if you want to on grounds of false advertising. This is especially true since they've removed the Multiplayer word from the listing.
This isn't about shallow semantics or the definition of "multiplayer".
Is Rayman Legends Multiplayer? Yes.
Does it have online co-op? No it does not...
As I already stated above.. on the Steam storepage, if it lists "Multiplayer" it speaks for online, not local. Local has a seperate tag all together "Local Co-op"
http://store.steampowered.com/app/34288/
See this game here? It has 2 player versus locally. Does it list on the storepage under its features "Multiplayer"? No, it doesn't. Infact, it lists it as Local Co-op even though its Local Competitive.
See where this is going? Rayman Legends listed itself as "Multiplayer" and "Co-op" like L4D2's storepage does only until a few days before release where it was changed. That lead me to think the game had Online Co-op, so I preordered two copies for me and my friend.
This isn't about semantics or labels, so please don't bring that here like it's relevent to the discussion.
Does "local co-op" mean singleplayer then?
Local co-op is also really limiting.
For example: all local modes for this game are co-op? no competitive play at all?

There should be these tags too for games so you can easily find the right game for you:
- local ctf
- local deathmatch
- local domination
- local team deathmatch
- local onslaught
- local last man standing
... and list goes on...
In Steam's case the only tag that talks about local play is Local Co-op and they use it to reference -any- type of local play. Rayman had mistakenly listed modes it didn't have and pre-launch it was vague at best about whether it had online co-op..
Anyway I'll see where support swings it.. Not too hopeful since I already registered it to my Uplay
Wrong. Rayman Legends never listed "Co-op". NEVER. It was always just "Multiplayer" and "Local co-op".
