Simply leaderboards.
However, if you've been on Steam long enough you'd know this is not the first and last time this is happening.
To be fair though, there is only online co-op if it says CO-OP and MULTIPLAYER. LOCAL CO-OP and MULTIPLAYER by itself doesn't imply online co-op.
Also, the trailers showed a competitive online multiplayer mode (Kung Foot) so that is where the confusion by Ubisoft may have come from. Even in the game Kung Foot says "invite friends" implying online play. But this turns out to not be the case.
Wait, I have no 'friends' on my Uplay, and have not actually tried the Kung Foot, is the Kung Foot mode able to be played directly with friends?
If you understood what I said, no, it isn't able to be played with friends online.
That's what I thought, thanks for the clarification.
Sorry not grateful that it was ported if it has a bold faced lie attached to it. It was ported to make money for UBISOFT. The multiplayer tag on the Steam page is intentionally deceitful in nature. These guys remind me of the tonic salesmen from the late 1800's. Their deceit led to the creation of the FDA. Seems that we need a similar body governing electronic media.
