can you open the Event Log (Control Panel -> Administration -> Event Log) and find this error in there (either by using a search of "Rayman Legends.exe" or an error filter), then post the full information about it.

hm, I can only suggest trying to reinstall vc redist 2010[www.microsoft.com], since it seems the game was compiled using VS2010, but if it doesn't help the issue may be in something else...
ppirogov Sep 2, 2013 @ 1:07pm
Tried to reinstall vc redist 2010. tried x86 and x64(this one is not fit) new and old versions. same results. Also turned back localization for windows to default (US) it was changed to Russian. Reinstalled Nvidia drivers... I tried everything I thought could affect the game. Disabled firewall and antivirus. Even downloaded MSVCR100.dll and moved it to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Rayman Legends\
nothing helps =(

Could someone tell me how to request refund? Or should I just reject card payment in bank?

I think you should contact the developers first. They may be able to give you more information as well as help make a memory dump in order to investigate your crash. BTW, a memory dump can be done while the Rayman Legends.exe process is still alive. just when it crashes, dont close it yet and go to Ctrl+shift+Esc -> Processes -> right click rayman legends.exe and Dump its memory to disk.
Im not skilled enough to investigate memory dumps though. So I guess you need to go with that info to the devs.

Also, just in case, did you try "Verify game cache integrity" option in the game's properties? (Steam library)

Found solution on ubusoft forum. Disable network connection and GO OFFLINE in Uplay. It's working and I finally can play. but it's ugly solution and I spent about 3 hours to get it working. It's bigest buttheart I ever got with game I paid for! But after played 3 levels I fill like it worth it!

He doesn't have the Steam version.
that's not correct. he has a mouse icon near his nickname.

also, "Disable network connection"? You could just add uplay to the forbidden list.
Well, this will not allow you to participate in online challenges though

that's weird, would it mean he bought it for the 2nd time? or got a refund and bought again? :demoneye:_:demoneye:

I FOUND THE SOLUTION, It works for me now. tried everything else but this fixed it.
not only do you need to go OFFLINE in Uplay, you need to turn your internet OFF COMPLETELY. If your internet is still on, for some reason, game crashes at start
Also, to fix slow mode, play windowed mode once you are in the game, fixes the slow mode.

you may as well just add the game/uplay to the firewall blacklist

Incredible!
You saved my week! Very very very thank you, guy! \o/
I bought Flashback 4 days ago and only got it make to run now based on your comment!

While this #@%& of Uplay doesn't gets this issue corrected, my steps are:
1) Disable Ethernet card (Local Conetion);
2) Run Uplay or call the Game by link/Steam (double-click);
3) Enable Ethernet card (Local Conetion).
4) Play the game, finally!!! \o/
...just so I'm getting play in this version 4.0.0.2045

Very thank you again!
;D
until...
