Click volume in your taskbar, Click "mixer".
If you are running Rayman Legends, there will be a volume bar for you to increase/decrease the sound of the applications. Check if the application is mute.
If you are hearing sound only in cinematics, try switching between your earphones and speakers. You can also try changing the sound settings from stereo to mono which can sometimes prove useful. Also, don’t forget to verify the integrity of your game files.
Got my PC connected to my receiver via Nvidia HDMI - any other audio works.
Interesting, is it possible for you to connect video via DVi, and audio using the audio ports on either a sound card or integrated sound of the mobo with speakers of some kind to test?
I am afraid that will do the trick, but it is no solution to me, as I need HDMI for passing sorround sound (Dolby, DTS etc.) for bluray and other games.
I installed Rayman Legends on a second PC that got speakers connected to the mobo. Sound does work fine there.
This is hilarious! I bought Rayman Legends to play it on TV via receiver in the living room using an XBox controller and this is the one setup which doesn't work...
Grabbed out some earphones to check if mobo sound works. It did! As I reverted settings to play via HDMI again and restartet the game it works too now!
Settings are exactly the same.
If anyone got the same issue: Try activating mobo/soundcard sound and have the game started once. Then head back to your preferred settings and restart the game.
Maybe this helps...
you must go to windows featurs ( you can tipe 'features' in the start menu search bar and it should suggest to you "Turn Windows features on or off")
from this window, check the box coresponding to 'Legacy Components', also if you click on ths small '+' sign in front of it you should see another box with 'DirectPlay' next to it, check that as well.
I hope it helps.
