Rayman Legends takes place before Rayman 2 so it could not possibly have Rabbids. As for playable Rabbids, wont happen because Rabbids are enemies. We don't get to play as enemies with exception of Dark Rayman( the Rayman in my avatar).
rayman legends is not set before rayman 2 as dark lums only became bad guys in rayman 3 but i still don't think rabbids would be possible as rayman has a house in the rabbids franchise and in this rayman is back to sleeping on trees as seen in rayman 3
Yes you are right. Both Origins and Legends take place after Rayman 3.

Rabbits exist only in a 3D world. They will not make the translation to a 2D plane well.

Only reason i'm not a big fan of the rabbids is because they resulted in ubisoft nearly stopping rayman altogether and that should never be a thing

We might see Rabbids on the next Rayman 3D game tho, Michel Ancel said back in 2011 that after the Origins related games (that includes Legends) were done they would work again on their old Rayman 3D Rabbids prototype game (which will be a platformer and not stupid minigames).

I think Rayman is best in 2D. The 3D version is kinda "meh". Plus platformers in general rock in 2D, not 3D.

let me explain the rabbits, it was a spin off game, nothing to do with rayman except that you played as him on the wii titles, it was actually just a rabbit game with a famous character on the cover, let them have their own games now and let us enjoy the glory of side scrolling rayman without bunnies:Y::A::Y:

The 3D games sold so much better than Origins and posibly also more than Legends and are much more epic, I like Origins a lot but it's nothing but a very well polished platformer game with excellent smooth graphics and style featuring the rayman universe.

Rayman 1 was a 2D platformer and yeah, it's one of my favourite... so much memories! it was the best of that time.

Rayman 2 The great escape had the best plot of the series with a very dark atmosphere compared to the other games, every gamer child born from the 90' possibly know that it was by then a masterpiece.

Rayman 3 Hoodlum Havoc sold less but it's my favourite actually, I possibly have played more than 400 hours in this game since I was a kid. The journey was epic even if the story of the game weren't all that interesting, with all those costumes and the excellent combat and score system. The score system was what made it the Rayman game with the most replay value, but only for competion guys, I personally have made over 600.000 points and the WR is around 859k, the developers though the max was 500.000 xD!

There are other great 3D platformers like Mario 64, Mario Galaxy, Mario Land 3D, Sonic Generation, Super Monkey Ball, Jack and Dexter, Ratchet & Clank, Spyro, Crash bandicoot. 3D platformers are "meh" ? I don't think so but that's my opinion :) The Rayman series really need a new 3D game to continue it's journey instead of trying to reach the casual players that wants a 'cute' mario-like game.

I don't think anyone has a problem with 3d rayman game rayman 3 hoodlum havok was my favourite as well but rabbids are most certainly suited for a 3d environment and therefore wouldn't work on the rayman legends 2d side scroller setting

You people need to realise that Rabbids will soon take over this world. It was foretold:

'And the number of the forces of the horsemen [Rabbids on horseback] is two myriads of myriads [20,000 x 20,000], and I heard the number of them. '
(Revelations 9:16)

See? It's only a matter of time. The sooner you submit to the Rabbids revolution, the easier the transition to serving your new overlords will be =)

Bad Rayman is referred to as Rayman's Wicked Double in Rayman Junior, Dark Rayman in Rayman Advance and DarkRay in Rayman Origins.

I see you arguing about this all over this forum, yes we get it. You really like 3D Rayman games. I'm replaying Rayman 2 right now and you know what? Its easy. Its really easy. Origins was much harder, so stop saying they are trying to reach the casual players. I'm not saying that Rayman 2 is a bad game, I love this game and will always do. But Rayman Origins is a great game too and Legends will be pretty great too (probably).

Rayman never had a very serious story, not even Rayman 2 was that serious. Sure, pirates captured everyone and enslaved them. But thats it, the serious stuff stops here. Its a pretty basic plot.
