50FPS?
Running an overclocked 7950 and only getting 50FPS? Running it in Window gives me 60. Anyone else noticed this?

I'm using a Sapphire 7850 1Gb and it runs at 1080p at 24fps (fullscreen). If I disable the fullscreen then it runs at 60 fps. I don't want to play it in windowed mode, so i hope they fix the problem before the release.

Ubisoft should have tested the game on AMD cards. Either the game will be fixed around release or AMD will release a driver update. I remember my AMD system giving me poor performances in multiple games and after AMD released a driver update the games ran flawlessly. Ubisoft seem to be half assing pc ports nowadays. Assassins creed 3 got a terrible pc port.

My card is a GeForce GT 730M and the game runs slow too. I did my pre order, so I hope they'll fix until the release!

em...I think it is something like auto v-sync of this game. It automatically locks fps down to the fresh rate of your screen...Just hope they would add an option to disable auto v-sync to increase fps for low end pc.

Extrremely slow with ATI cards. Just play demo and liked it but please fix this to be optimize for ATI.

Also having those issues (slow motion gameplay when I uncheck "Window") + when trying to play full screen there are black borders around everything like there's something wrong with the game's overscan setting.

I'm using an AMD Radeon HD 7750 and updated to the latest 13.8 beta driver (which didn't fix anything).

Not entirely, I'm using a GTX 660ti and I also have the problem. On another note though, so jelly of your GPU.

You need to create a new resolution in ur ati control panel 1920 x1076 then u can play the game in full screen at 60fps

Subterra, I love you :) This actually worked!

Yeah it is a beast of a card. I built the pc this summer since i was gaming on a laptop and games are becoming more demanding as we move into nextgen.

Same here. In my case, the game runs at 40FPS in full screen and 45FPS in Windowed mode. The question is: the game looks like it runs on slowmotion, I don't know why. :( Hope they're fix this issue until the release of the game.
The game engine is framelocked (not sure if that's the actual correct term, but in layman's terms the game runs physics calculations on a per-frame basis) so when the game can't run at 60fps then the game slows down; same problem that old cartridge games and Playstation games had, because the frame rate and physics engine were tied together. Ubisoft decided this was better than dropping frames, evidently, since dropping frames also lowers input responsiveness and in a platform game like this that can easily screw you over in a difficult level.

You'll have to look into what's causing the game to lag - change some power options or run at a lower resolution. The game will actually be easier running at 45fps, but it won't be 'right'. heh.

As for me the game runs like butter. 60fps, no hitches. Running it on a GTX660.

I'm running dual boot (win 7 & 8) the odd thing is i'm locked in 50fps on win 8 but 60 fps for win 7. Odd since i'm using the same drivers for both operating systems. With some minor differences in programs installed as i only use win 8 as a semi HTPC. Also alt tabbing from win 7 is instant while in 8 feels as if i'm running at something that isn't my native resolution. (ATI 7870)

As for a solution, try using windowedborderless gaming (http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?p=30525996) This should also help those who run in windowed mode but can't get the resolution to fit the screen size.

Works fine for me. Thank you so much for this post!

Also have this problem, though only on TV, not on my monitor. A workaround: play in windowed borderless mode using one of the third-party programs for it.
