Dojo speed-runs
I'm pretty sure I'm a pro at these dojo challenges... they're pretty much my favourite sort. I enjoy collecting stuff.
Even though I rarely get Diamond for them, if ever - but I can usually get Gold right off.

However, the thing that bothers me is how the heck can the top players net over 500 Lums in the "Grab them in 60 seconds) challenges?
I'm a pro when it comes to collection challenges, and I can only just get to about the 400 mark before it gongs me out.
Are people somehow playing these in co-op mode? Because if that's the case, it's very unfair on us single-players!

Yes, some people are playing in coop, and it making better score in the Dojo.
(I'm winning a platinum cup in 2 of 3 Dojo's, but sometimes even with perfect timing you can not win the coop-players)
That really shouldn't be possible... playing co-op, I mean... ^^;
It's giving an unfair advantage.

The game is Coop in it´s heart.
Though for challenges i can see how it can be percieved as unfair.

But there is the extreme challenges, wich can only be played by one player ( though the Murphys dungeon thingies can be half assed cooped with a friend pushing the "Murphy button").

And further, the Dojos are basically the only things that are really unfair comparing single versus multiplayer.
So let the rage fuel you on the other types of maps!

I suck myself on most and any types of maps, i am a theorycrafter, not a twitchplayer. So i cunningly let my younger brother (i´m 43, he´s 39) do the heavy lifting and we do silver or gold, and recently a few diamonds on the challenges :eli:

The game is really good, i usually detest platformers, but this one brings out the devil in me (and my brother) :PineappleGrenade:

That's for sure, it is a good game.
But yeah, I do think the challenges are something that should be done by single-players alone.

The challenges are fun and addictive, though. And I've even managed to gain the occassional Diamond - usually on Livid Dead speed-runs.
Mostly, I average at Gold across the board.

Just give seperate leaderboards for single and coop play. With only the best cup counts or you choose upfront or something.Still pretty hard to implement with cups.

I've no idea why they allow co-op in challenges. Very unfair. A massive oversight by Ubisoft there.

Yeah... I mean, today's challenge...
I've rushed through several times, and my ghost should show some very effecient work to my closest challengers... yet the best I manage is about 20 seconds.

How, then, is it possible to do it in 12 seconds unless you cheat and get a friend to help you in co-op mode? Ok, maybe not cheating per se, but definitely taking a very unfair advantage of us single-players who don't have a skilled sibling or local friend to help us...

The co-op players ruin the leaderboards in my oppinion. I don't like the fact that somebody is clearly having an advantage over me when I know that if there were 2 of me, I would win diamond every time -.- ; a seperate leaderboard for co-op players, perhaps?

I find the easiest challenges to win diamond for are the endurance ones and the speedrun ones; my best, luckily, is the speedrun maps.

It also has some impact on some of the invaded speedrun courses.Like this one for example.I would love to have seperate boards.

Split boards would be nice, but UbiSoft doesn't really seem to care. However, the extreme challenges are single player only. You'll be on fair ground there, so give those a try, maybe...?

Thanks for this explanation ! This is why I can't get a Diamond...

Lol this explains so many things.... I can still get diamond cups in some challenges, but this is annoying :/

Only the normal challenges are co-op.The extreme challenges are solo player only soo if you cannot get a single diamond in extreme challenges you need to step up your game. There are alot of tricks and little things you can do too get better times in rooms. Most of the straight forward rooms look really easy but almost always got tricks. And time in rooms adds up fast.

An example is the room where you need to dashjump, walljump and walljump again to get all the lums.A faster way that saves you like 1/3 of a second is dashjump, walljump and when you under the last lum groundpound. Alot of players don't know the groundpound gets you a little higher before the drop.

Another example is the room with 4 lums just on the ground not moving. I have seen alot of players just dash or only dashjump to get them. But in that room you can do a dashjump into roll or a dashjump into kick and that is much faster.

I can get pretty consistent diamonds now in the dojo's and always play solo but i need some luck in the co-op.
