How does this game compare to the Wii-U version?

Thinking about purchasing but i own a Wii U so i am not sure if the PC version is better or not

The game was designed to be played with the gamepad of the wii u. I am also debating if I should buy this one for 9.99 and play alone or buy the eshop version which currently is a deal for $20 and play with my gf. The sale is for a few Ubi games. i already own the wii u version but have not played it . Tough owning thousands of games and trying to play a game. Figured i ask since i am building a PC arcade cabinet
and add the pc version to the good old game collection

Guys it was meant to play on the Wii U for good reason. It really makes good use of that tablet-like controller.

And thats the reason wiiU version is the worst one for me. I hated those touch screen sections with passion.

Uh were you playing with another person? If not you were not playing the game properly. It really is meant for coop only.

I picked up the Wii U version for 20 bucks last night, and then see this on sale the next day for an even greater discount... But! I am enjoying the touchscreen Murphy stuff and I really like off-screen play with the gamepad, and the nintendo digital deluxe promotion netted me another $5 buck voucher thanks to getting Rayman Legends, and 60 more coins for nintendo rewards stuff. So I can live with spending the extra $10 on the Wii U version.

I would definitly be using the controller vs my tv downstairs if the dam controller could just operate and not desync when in the bedroom upstairs. Seems like a feature that was not thought out very well. Steam works very well over my network when streaming games why cant nintendo get it right.
kinda sucks.

i just bought it for 10 bucks , at 2560x1440 p its the best version out there

The only thing wii u has is the touch screen. However its too bad it uses Uplay
Either way i would take 2560x1440p over any console port.. Still a great game to get if you own a wii U . You can not replicate the same experience on a 64" Samsung plasma vs a 27" 2560x1440p monitor. The PC port will easily last 5-10 years where as 5 years down the road most people might own a 4k TV . We all saw what happen when you try to play a PS1/PS2 game on a 1080p TV screen it looks like crap.

The Murfy levels are more interactive and touch-based on Wii U. On PC and the other consoles it is just a button push instead. I think it's a tossup between PC (better rez and price) and Wii U (lead platform + better control during Murfy), but both versions beat the other console ports. All the versions I've played have been a treat however. And it's worth noting it's a solid portable experience if you happen to own a Vita.

At this price I woujldn't pass it up on Steam though. If you love it maybe by it on console later.

Im personally confused on why the wii u is called the definitive edition if it almost requires coop to do those segments(based on the posts here), when the 360 you can do them without fail with the push of a button in a button. The game may have been made with the Wii U touch pad in mind, but it works just as well with a 360 controller, ATLEAST.

It def. doesn't require co-op. However you are right some people prefer the button push over the manual movement of things like the platforms etc.

The Wii U title is harder for sure, but you have much more control over the movement of the platforms and other elements. Of course this is Murfy only. The rest of the game is same across all platforms. You can't go wrong with this game.

PC version is superior and with steam big picture it makes it even better. Nvdfia shield etc.
get it on console if you want to play on bigger screens. The wii -u version is probably the best version out there but some would say 360 controller is the way they like to play. I personally think the wii-u is a unique system just for the fact the controller is different but does not drastically change the game quality over a ps3/xbox port. However nintendo exclusives are just freaken awsome to play thats what makes wii -u a better gamming system . Personally the PC version will outlast and outshines them all and for 9.99 is a deal for a great game especially when played at 2560x1440p 60fps. Resolution and console ports to PC alway trump consoles. If anyone has messed with a wii emulator and has seen a older wii game run at 1080p such as mario kart , mario bros it is like playing a new game. The Wii max resoultion was 480p and looks like crap on newer televisions. Another reason why nintendo failed is if they added backwards compativbility why did they not include a 1080p option and improve the picture to wide screen. very sad
PC version is the definitive version and will stay a classic and work on pc's for a decade guranteed and games will look better due to improving technology in graphic cards
once i went to 2560x1440 i did not look back at 1080p its a whole new level of PC gamming.
