Graphical Issue with black screen/box

Hello!

Just got the game. When I saw the uplay service and remembered that this is a Ubisoft game I knew something will go wrong. My suspicion was soon confirmed.

When I started the game (1080p) the game was running on fullscreen but only on the top right of the screen. The rest was black. I thought to make it windowed in order to see if it will fill the whole screen. It went to windowed mode but made the whole screen black this time. I can't go back now. I hear the game music but I have no visuals.

I have no idea how to start it?

Any ideas?

Nvidia gtx 960M
16GB Ram
i7 (6700)

That worked! Thanks! I had to run it on the lowest resolution possible in addition to that (option available at the compatibility tab). Now i am trying to solve the fps drops issue. It is smooth only when plugged.
