It does support the XBOX 360 Controller. When GOG had did a video showing off the game in its almost finial state they used XBOX 360 Controllers.

I use my Logitech F310 gamepad in XInput mode and it works fine. If you find your XBOX 360 Controller does not work in game, make sure you look under optional updates in Windows Update for the XBOX 360 Controller driver.

Edit: It supports my PS3 controller, left stick for movement, right out of the box (dpad seems to be mapped wrong but you can easily correct that).

I can't really imagine playing this hunched over a keyboard (and the original Amiga version wasn't designed with that in mind either).

360 controller works fine... But I'd rather use a quickshot :P

xinput doesn't work, Shield (which only uses xinput because directinput is ancient) users can't use the game at all. If you're controller is working that's because it supports the old directinput standard.

360 pad works just fine, as does my Sega Saturn pad through the USB adapter. Same goes for Speedball 2.

If they don't work for you, it ain't the games fault. :P

Do you have any other USB devices plugged in?

I'm having a similar issue which I'm wondering if it's due to the many sim racing devices I have connected to my PC. Unfortunately, it's not a simple as "unplug everything but the XBox 360 controller".
