Able to play solo offline?

I'm looking around for a few games to shove on my laptop fow a short trip I'll be taking, during which I'm pretty sure I'll not be able to access the internet. I'm taking percautions to make sure Steam's usual derpery on offline startup is being circumstated, but I am curious if this game is uneffected by offline play or not.

You *can*, but this is really more of a coop game. Single player has never really been a selling point for this game.

I understand that, and I plan to do co-op when I get back from said trip, but was more curious on some of the other things related and if they'd carry over if I played on Offline (aka progression/stats/whatever)

The game is certainly more enjoyable coop, but I played the game for months by myself at the start and still enjoyed it (just couldn't play on overkill).

Id din't mind single player, Multi is better yes, when you can get folks to use mics :P
