The cap for xbla is $15-$20 somewhere at that, unless it is on games on demand.

40 dollars is better than 60 that most new games are but the game doesnt have a single player mode and I assume its going to be frustratingly difficult and not enjoyable at all to try and solo. I really love the original game even with random people using PLAYWITHANYONE. I assume the same thing will be in the sequel, but without being able to convince my friends to get it with me it might not be worth it till it goes cheaper.

But again, this hasn't been confirmed, so there's no need to grab your torches and pitchforks.
If this is true, $40 isn't bad. Payday is fun as hell, I wouldn't mind paying an extra $20 if it has enough new content to mess around with.
