The cap for xbla is $15-$20 somewhere at that, unless it is on games on demand.

"PickUp@Store" the game is digital only... [unless they changed it]

I've been saving money for this game, yet I didn't save enough.

wow 40 dollars for a co op only game ? I cant convince my friends to get the first one for 20 bucks. I might have to wait till the price is toned down a bit.. I was hoping, expecting it to 29.99. I still want the game and though i have purchased the first one I passed on the 9.99 DLC .

40 dollars is better than 60 that most new games are but the game doesnt have a single player mode and I assume its going to be frustratingly difficult and not enjoyable at all to try and solo. I really love the original game even with random people using PLAYWITHANYONE. I assume the same thing will be in the sequel, but without being able to convince my friends to get it with me it might not be worth it till it goes cheaper.

thank you for this information

I wouldn't take it seriously, game retailers always like to jump the gun and just make predictions about the game. I think you should wait for Overkill to give official confirmation before treating this as a valid source.

yeah plus if your in the payday 2 safe house group, they say its not 100% comfirmed so we'll have to wait til E3 or something

so the release date and price arent even confirmed by the devs? yea ive never heard of that website and its only game stop listing it for that price with that date no image available

It's unverified. Overkill hasn't confirmed or denied it.

I completely agree, while this information does make sense. The original game was $20 and came with six heists. PAYDAY 2 has been said by the developers to be much much much larger. I believe one dev said that there are 30 times more missions. If that is true, $40 would not only make sense, but be very reasonable, especially to the original game's players, who, as I said earlier, paid $20 for 6 heists.

But again, this hasn't been confirmed, so there's no need to grab your torches and pitchforks.

I wouldn't pay 40$ for it. 20$ is more than enough. Or I'll wait till the price drops on a sale. I've got time :p

If this is true, $40 isn't bad. Payday is fun as hell, I wouldn't mind paying an extra $20 if it has enough new content to mess around with.
