The AI is a little dumb, sometimes.

I played this game a while ago for a short amount of time, but now I'm playing it again for how enjoyable I find it.
Because I do not want to disrespect the level 145+ players with my lack of skill being within their vicinity, I play with the AI crew bots.
Mostly, they work reasonably okay, despite being unable to help with objectives. However I witnessed an exhibit of absolutely preposterous performance from the AI bots today.

The SWAT Team tossed in a smoke grenade. One of the AI teammates ran through the smoke, and gets shot. This is ridiculous, because even as someone with a few hours in the game, I know not to run through smoke. When this short-sighted simpleton got downed, the other AI teammates also ran through the smoke, getting themselves downed. I found this demonstration of poor judgement to be rather comedic, and now I am sat here, with a thesaurus and keyboard explaining this incident because of how unsatisfactory it was.

I cannot blame the developers, though, because many have described it as "an outdated engine from 2001" and that it was "intended for driving games". Now that I think about it, it's impressive Payday was even created through this engine, implementing a diverse range of weaponry, a handful of heists, and of course, AI teammates.

You should mention that's considered as cheat. Besides you won't get any good with an AI that does the work.

Yeah, I've gotten a little better at trying to fight with AI. At least they can sometimes be considered better than a new player. I find the reviving through walls trick to be useful when they get down, even though it's kind of a cheat.
