It's a learning experience. If you really don't understand how to play the heist efficiently then try looking up some videos on youtube. Or get some better team mates. I know the latter can be difficult but trust me, there are some amazing players still in this game.

For solo play it's one of the, if not the, most difficult heists. With a team you just have to make sure to stick together in a place you can defend. The area between the cafeteria and the north corridor is one common place for this, but you can also hold the rooms opposite to the first ICU door to have a nice cross fire. Others work too, but it's much harder to do objectives if you don't have anywhere to escape to unless you like waiting out 6-7 minute assaults to fix a saw.
