Also, if you leave the menu blank, they all order crude drinks and crude snacks.
Upgrades for Hearth, Host, and Dishes make it easier for Solo play. I got to day 10 even before figuring out the menu trick, pretty doable.
What really made the difference for me is realising that you can cook and prepare drinks ahead of time, before opening the day. The best updates I got early on were the counter tops, where you can set six different objects aside ahead of time depending of the incoming customers of that day. The second most helpful upgrades were the shakers. You can pre-shake a lot of drinks which only require you to get a base beer and grab the already ready mix, in almost an instant. Which add even more to your prep time. After that I got the increase in hearth and the assistant who seat people automatically and I almost tripled my efficiency. Maybe even quadrupled.
