There won't be an Axis 2025

Axix 2026 will be released next summer

wow.sad. not a bad game..
Sir, I remember you from FB Pro and Old maximum FB. FB Pro is still the Best...

Not sad at all. It was a choice to move to a two year development cycle to get into some meatier aspects and put fourth an ever stronger product. A one year cycle doesn't allow for that.

And yep, been around...from old FBPro, original Max, Golden age of Madden. And ya, FBPro was so far ahead of its time, a real gem!

I didn't know this, and wholeheartedly approve.

Wow - I came here for this exact question. Nice to know where you're going and when.

Front Page Sports Baseball was pretty dope as well. But FBPro....It is practically the only game I played. Remember you could even tweak AI tendencies? Some people still play it to this day.

This is the end of this game now Its dead to me. It's time to move on to another Pro Football Sim. Game is now dead as well as the develop team.

Odd, I 'thought'' they were just working on improvements until 2026.
YOU can do ANYTHING by going into the files and editing them. Fix the QB carousel, retirements, draftees, etc. You can also just change everything that happened in the off-season + alter the player stats (usually and simply by looking up end-of-season stats). Make 'different' leagues: all originals, orig and NFL mixed, number of teams in a league, etc. Sky's the limit...

I wont be supporting the developer ever again over the decision not to release a 2025 game. I'm done with the company.

You can't have it both ways. You complain about so much, now complain when more time is being taken to address issues and improve items that could not be done in an annual cycle. Are you even following the development updates?

This is encouraging. 2024 felt rushed and took some backwards steps

Why? You want to pay every year for an underdeveloped product? Then go get Madden.

They aren’t hiding a complete 2025 game from you, this team doesn’t have the size or funding to release a new game that’s a major step forward every year. I appreciate that they’ve finally acknowledged that.

See what they release next summer and make a decision based on that, not “supporting the developer” or whatever. You’re buying a product, not a company.

What an asinine hill to choose to die on

Dude the whole yearly release schedule is what ruins sports video games. I am more upset that they aren't trying to make Axis 24 the best game it can be with no updates since Dec 2023. I'm telling you and any company should realize that the yearly model is not going to be a successful strategy if you want to have a successful football game. I'm really impressed with Maximum Football. It releases on Steam early access on November 7 and they have committed to good communication, frequent updates based on player feedback, and most importantly they are not following the yearly model. This is their only game that is planned with Maximum Football being their only focus for several years to come. The game is also starting out as free to play so not sure exactly how that is working. They must have a great deal of money and time on their hands. But I say competition is great and if the team making Axis keeps working hard on making the gameplay the best it can possibly be without being limited by a yearly or even every other year release schedule, then they will have success.
