Witch Rankings (Spoilers)
Now that I have completed the game with each witch I felt like sharing my opinions on each of them.

First is the Celestial Witch. She was the first one I played so kind of my baseline. She's good for this as her abilities are strong and passive. Her celestial links double village production. And that's it really. There are a few others things she can do, but they're fairly minor. But that's all she needs doubling production let's her do everything better. She doubles raw resources. She doubles final products. You can make twice as many dews to boost her and twice as many swords to boost familiars. You never need to worry about running out of anything a village can make. My run with her was the longest not just because I was experimenting with everything, but because streamlining everything with her boosts was fun.

My second run was the chaos witch. And she's fun. All of her abilities are about boosting her own power. She can get chaos skulls from killing enemies and use chaos skulls to make herself stronger. The stronger she is the more chaos skulls she can get, though with a cap eventually. A got an event that spawn new 1/1 void motes every day and used them to skyrocket her power. Her production is abysmal compared to the other witches of course. But it doesn't matter because she only needs enough healing and armor to keep herself alive instead of a whole familiar flock. Ultimately she was my fastest run. Though I did not beat the post boss with her. It would have been an easy fight, but building the lighthouse would have been incredibly tedious with no production boosts.

Finally I played the chef witch. She's actually a mix between the other two. She has abilities to double production just like the celestial witch and ways to boost combat power just like the chaos witch. In fact now that I have played all three I realize she can literally do everything that both of the others can. The catch is its all manual. While the celestial and chaos witch abilities are basically free and permanent the Chef Witch's abilities all cost ingredients and are temporary. Not only does she have to devote entire villages to gathering ingredients, but every recipe you make has to be done manually. There is no automation. As such while technically she's probably the most powerful witch for me she was by far the most tedious.

In the end with the celestial witch I had fun working out how to automate massive supply chains. With the chaos witch I had fun making an over powered combat monster. With the chef witch I just wanted the run to be over. Though to be fair I had already played through everything twice by then. Someone with more appetite for manual micromanagement and who played the chef witch first would probably like her more.
