How to heal early game?

Taking damage, but finding reagents + silversage is hard when it's so expensive to get Explore cards at the start and selling spells give you nothing.

I normally have no problem. Maybe instead using the witch to deal damage use familiars, at least until you got the meadow village and the silversage plantation, that way you'll get more silversage and can heal more ofter allowing your witch to attack more. For reagents you need try save them until you get the wonder that make the alchemists create a reagent when a potion is created, or until you can get the terrain recycler (it converts 2 terrains into 1 reagent)
