Is it just me?

I don't think it is just you! I'm playing with an 8BitDo Pro 2 and it's been happening to me, too. After a few minutes, my controller just disconnects. And it doesn't happen in other games, either.

I don't have any idea why it would be a game issue, but there's something funky going on with controller support, I think.

Dualshock4 user here, consistent disconnects on my end too. Controller support went halu I suppose.

Same here. My controller just randomly disconnects when playing Holocure. This didn't happen on the previous versions, nor does it happen in other games. I hope they can look at this because disconnecting in the middle of a run and staying still for 10 seconds just breaks the game.

Yup, can confirm both of my controller DS4 wired/ wireless mode, and my logitech f310 wired will automatically disconnected

mine didn't disconnect, but the controls felt a bit "floaty" for latter half in S4H

I thought it had gotten fixed with the latest patches, but it seems like it seems like it's not quite fixed yet. The disconnects are less frequent, but they still happen, along with the occasional moment where, like, button presses aren't registered or I'll keep moving even after I let go of the stick.

I thought my controllers were just broken. I didn't think this was a thing.

Have any of you tried or had any luck with disabling Steam Input in the Controller settings for the game? I've been playing with a Dualsense/PS5 controller and haven't had any issues, and I've had Steam Input disabled since the game first came out on Steam, since it worked fine for me with the controller before it was on Steam anyways. Not using any 3rd party software either.

I've got a Switch Pro controller and been suffering from regular disconnects too. Gave this a try and the game doesn't react at all to controller inputs. That seems a little weird, because I disable it on Vampire Survivors so that the A button is in the Nintendo position instead of the Xbox position without having to manually change the Steam-wide setting back and forth between VS and other games.

I've had to enable Steam Input because leaving it disabled means it won't take any inputs from my controller at all. Sort of.

I brought out my wired Xbox controller and turned Steam Input off again to see what would happen, and... it was fine! So I went back to my 8BitDo and put it in Xbox mode (I usually keep it in Switch mode) and wireless, and it also worked like that, without Steam Input.

Well, I haven't had a chance to do a full run yet, but I'm hoping that's my solution.

Of course, it'd be nice if it gets fixed for other controllers!

I've had the same experience, and it's been driving me insane. DS5 disconnects at random. Only in this game.
It seems like the game supports DS5 controllers by itself. I have turned off Steam controller config then it still get controller input without disconnecting.

Just wanted to bring this back up, so others don't think their controllers are dying. At least for Switch Pro controllers, since turning off Steam Input isn't an option for them like it is for DS5.
