Chickens Feather... bug?

Was trying to do the "Clear a Stage Mode run after dying 3 times with Chickens Feather." achievement. Died 3 times with it. And then dropped a Super Chickens Feather from a box.
I was curious what would even happen since "Wait, but I already have the original item..."
Turns out the spent one just turns into the Super one then. So then I was like: "Might as well die those 2 more times to get the bonuses" and so I did. Then I cleared the run. And I didn't get the achievement.

Does the problem reside in that I finished the run without a regular "Chickens Feather" or that I ultimately died 5 times when I was supposed to die only 3 times?

Same thing happened to me, glad I'm not alone in the suffering gwahaha.

And either only the chicken's feather, or perhaps only die 3 times, no more no less? I wonder how it's coded..

I got my achievement through the super version. You need to die exactly 3 times for the achievement apparently. I did have that temptation of dying for the bonuses but couldn't after the 3rd; got lucky that time.
