How do you beat stage 5 in this?
Even when using extra lives and using tons of healing items and powerups alongside a high damage character at level 50, the enemies would just tank everything I throw at them and deal an entire mountain of damage that I couldn't counter or even just OHKO me, overwhelming me. What strategy do I use to beat this stage so I can get the weapon to finish the rest of the collabs?
Update: I beat the stage. What I did was use Fauna and grind for the Jingisukan Super Collab (Elite Cooking and Uber Sheep). After that, just go for healing and defense items, and use revives if needed. And use Prisms, but I was able to beat it without a Prism so don't worry if you aren't able to get one

Buy upgrades. One of the new systems where you mine and cut down trees rewards you with "Prisms", free major damage reduction for runs. There's no way you've unlocked a max Prism this soon, you probably haven't even gotten the weakest one if you're asking how you beat stage 5. Once you have a higher level Prism equipped, their mountain of damage becomes low, and now you're able to use less defensive items and more offensive ones to kill them faster.

My first bit of advice would be to double check that you're maxed out on the shop upgrades.
As far as a strategy, I'd maybe try to limit your weapon slots to main weapon+2, play a defense/heal character like Watame, Danchou, or Fauna, and aim for the Jingisukan super collab, full meal, nurse horn, breastplate, stuff like that. For characters like them, going all-in on defense will bring offense with it.

e: and yeah, there's also the Holohouse stuff like the food and prisms, as said above

I’ll double check the mining for Prisms then

I just beat it with Fauna. I had max Halu and max Marketing from the Upgrades section of the shop(it's under the other tab). I also brought the healing flask support item. I got my Study Glasses maxed, was extremely lucky with my first few stamps, and it was all execution from there. I know you are probably thinking why would I want more enemies if I can't beat these? The answer is experience. If you start getting mountains of XP at the beginning of the run, you will eventually be snowballing your way to victory in no time.

I just did a main weapon only with Pekora and it's perfectly doable with full updrades and pufferfish buff. What I noticed is that some mob waves move extremely fast and I kept investing in speed% just to keep up. Also, the dash iten that's on a 10 sec cooldown is extremely useful to avoid stuff and repositioning.

Get Coco and build the Dragons Fire collab (Plug Type + Fan Beam). With that she get tons of healing from her GMMF skill (works with other Asacoco related weapons too) and you can heal through a lot of the damage thrown at you once you have that.

If it make it easier for you, you can limit the weapons and armor, in the armory to 10 items in each categories to make it easier for you to get what you need so you don't have to use rerolls/eliminates as much.

The enemies hurt quite a bit, but the shooting pirates were really the only thing that gave me a scare. Horns are still really good if you have the damage to delete the mobs in one shot. And since I'm Suisei main, damage is not an issue. :D

Palm trees and cannonballs are your worst enemy here

Just cleared stage 5 with very little trouble using Pekora, Marine & Noel. I use Pufferfish Meal and chose dash, net then projectile shield. Dash was good, net was meh and shield was very good.

Meta upgrades are maxed and I had -2 weapons for PekoRin attempts.

No prism crafted yet.

I usually select 1 defensive item, 1 healing item and 3-4 offensive items (3 if I find Kusogaki Shackles early enough) and this still works for stage 5.

Feather is a waste unless you get super feather from a box. Take headphones or plushie instead.

The Prisms are consumable though. And I can't imagine farming up a max level prism, only to have it BREAK after 1 use and have to do it again. Unless that HP value is how much it'll reduce per run, and even then 700 HP isn't much for that 5th level. Maybe 12 attacks and it'll shut off.

Two things I found:

1. Don't go too far north. Once the ships spawn they do not spawn again. Take it as an invisible wall. I assume the same goes with too far south. They are spawns on the map they are NOT random projectiles

2. Halu I think will spawn more ships as well

After doing these 2 steps I actually found my health never went below 90% for an entire run.

Plushie with one or two healing items or skills kinda trivialises things, but with the amount of burst damage you can take in the two new stages it feel almost feels mandatory to get asap. Also, speed in general, a lot of characters at base speed can barely outrun the explosions and cannonballs so finding something to bump that up early on is crucial.
