Boss HP Bars
An option for HP bars for bosses would be neat. Sometimes it's hard to tell how much I'm actually doing to them aside from some of them starting to glow.

Half the fun is the boss exploding randomly just as you're about to get hit by it

I haven't noticed "glowing" as a visual indicator for how much damage you've done.

Some special effects your attacks have on enemies will be shown as changing the color of a sprite: e.g. attacks that will make the enemy take additional damage over time. Is that what you're noticing?

Some bosses get an aura at 50% health to signify them doing a last-ditch effort. A-chan and Halloween Bae are examples of this.

I dont recall VS also having boss bars, but it would be a neat adition nonetheless.

Yeah some bosses do have indicators, they get harder after 50& health.

And VS' bosses mostly just have bigger numbers. This game has actual boss fights, and its UI should reflect that.

I agree with this although having it as an option seems reasonable.

Probably a way similar to the hp bar like with your character, but for bosses

Makes sense. If they were big fancy health bars with names or portraits, they'd start to clutter the screen too much when multiple bosses are around at once. Especially depending on your definition of boss.

You want the game to be even more easier :| ? it is fine as it is.

This falls firmly in "quality of life" territory; it makes the game less frustrating without actually making it any easier.

There are a lot of better ways to make a game hard than just withholding basic information. Hell, they could actually get away with stricter challenges if certain enemies did have health bars because you can reasonably expect more from a player who has all the information.

For example, some of the parts involving crowds of giant bombs kinda seem like they were made overly lenient specifically to make up for the fact that the player has no way to know when the bombs will die, when they'll explode, or how much damage the explosions will do. I usually just run through the outer wall of enemies & take a hit since for all I know, the bombs could have more health than the RNG even provided me a way to deal with.

Alternatively, they could have barely any health but I have no reason to risk it when I have no way of knowing when they'll explode & it could be an automatic 1-hit kill for all I know. At least when I'm playing a level for the first time anyway.

In some cases like the giant SSRB in stage 2, no hp bar would make sense. It's supposed to instil a sense of panic when you hear and see the timer ticking down and the whole screen turning red (at least I got spooked when it showed up for the first time lol)

Again, you're not wrong.

There's actually an inner circle that slowly expands and then causes the explosion when it hits the outer circle. Easy to miss if you're prone to panic.
