well, the game is called holocure.... i would understand your confusion if the game have some generic name like idol showdown or something, but the game is called holocure, with hololive branding all over.... but now you knows... maybe someone will make a generic vtuber version.
And it is a Hololive fangame, yes. Every single character is a Hololive affiliated vtuber and most of the game aspect is directly based on things that are related to Hololive productions or their fandom.
There is also the male branch called holostars, with both Japanese and English sub-branches, and AFAIK Kay Yu mentioned that holostars will also be in the game at some point.
Sure you can make whatever game you want but Hololive will not let their talents stream it.
That's interesting. I had presumed that the male talents would have been excluded. But it's nice to hear that both will come some day.
The game is called HOLOcure and the first sentence on the store page is "Play as your favorite Vtubers from Hololive!" which means you didn't even go to the store page. So yeah, understandably people are frustrated at this kind of thread that now clutters the forum for no reason.
Iirc he said he "wants" to include them at some point, not that they difinitely will be in the game. But I do assume that they will be in eventually, yeah. My guess is that he will go by debut order (giving EN a kind of priority) now, so it will be Gen 3,4,5,6 JP, Tempus, Stars JP, Advent, Whatever comes after Advent, probably ID4 if he wants to continue the game for that long.
A certain EN was quite a huge independent drunk singing vtuber before EN.
There are also a few former JP members who probably will never be in this game, since there are so little material to go on for them before their short & sudden departure. Also CN, don't know could go either way.
For example, Neuro sama (interviewed by an EN & liked by another) or a certain T are unlikely to be in this game, unless in the quite unlikely event, they become Hololive members.
(A certain T is Friend? with a few JP. A number of JP knows or got interviewed by her/him/her. A few JP have friends before Vtube now working for her/him/her. It is all a bit complicated. T as a dudette playing a dude disguised as another dudette.)
And that kind of thing totally stopped Smash from having guest characters, right? Same for Mega Man X Dive, right? And Mario Maker? And the Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm games? And Mario Kart? And Clay Fighter? And Mario Hoops?
