any good afk builds?
After playing for a while, I want to grind the characters up without paying too much attention to the game. is there a universal strat for brainless AFK for all characters? And does it even work past level 1? thanks

Jingisukan and any character that has a skill to make them immune when hit once in a while. Only need to pay attention to projectiles and possibly bosses. Bosses not quite sure of though since I never try to risk it and see if I can survive them. Probably could

no true afk build before 20min, you would still need to pay attention with skills/ultimate.
If you want to set up it up, well either autohotkey or a 2nd monitor then i guess ceres fauna.
Her ultimate makes her immune from dmg for 10 sec and it also heals you and her passive skills makes any healing she does to launch extra branch projectiles at enemies.

With that, i would suggest super collab of spidercooking+lava bucket and whatever else you would prefer

I just get Spider Cooking and have Pufferfish set to auto-cook.

Spider Cooking afk solos the opening for every stage except Hard3. That's 6/7 stages. Just reroll for Spider Cooking and sit there while everything dies.

Sausage also afk solos decently well.

After that just get 6 defensive items since that's basically all the damage you need. Elite Cooking and its Super Collab version are optimal to go for, but skipping the Super Collab is also fine if you find a 6th meta item before finding Uber Sheep.

Normal1 + Normal2 + Hard1 + Hard2 is sufficient to max a char with full head empty play.

Anyone on a new file can just head empty Normal1 on different characters, then come back and head empty the other stages after maxing shop.

Not really. In later levels projectiles get added, which can't be destroyed before they reach you (aside from RNG)

Stages 1 and 2 (maybe 3) can for the most part be afk'd by using the super spider collab and a chicken feather just in case. But projectiles in Hard 1 onwards are usually enough to outpace any forms of healing.

That said Glasses+Coat+Spider Collab is for the most part a semi-shut brain off build at least, as there's not a lot that can surprise kill you with that setup. You can usually reach super collab around 10m with an early glasses+coat

maybe im doing something wrong but even on stage 1 your strat still requires me to do stuff occasionally else i die. still, pretty good all things considered. maye i should limit weapons to 2?

I've been running with max weapons and items + max marketing.
I do need to move or use special on some runs, but on some other runs I can stay still and tank bosses and projectiles for the entire 20 minutes.

These are the items I tend to take if they're available.
Always Grab: Breastplate, Headphones, Membership, Chicken Feather
Sometimes Grab: Uber Sheep, Body Pillow, Plushie, Full Meal, Nurse's Horn
Rarely Grab: Study Glasses, Blacksmith Anvil

And I use Eliminate on any items not listed every time I level up. On some characters I also eliminate weapons and skills.

Some of the hard map bosses will shred you if you let them physically touch you unless you got insane durability. That said, you can complete every map without moving-- I recommend Fauna for this.

The stun/pacifist stamp in 0.6 has a chance to wipe projectiles with the main weapon which might be useful, but I haven't tried. Probably doesn't protect from falling rocks or lava pools.

There's also cooking recipes for periodic invincibility (veggie soup) and projectile damage reduction (BBQ squid) which could be useful.
