Xbox Controller, controls go off

I'm playing with an xbox wireless controller, seems sometimes all the buttons on the right stop working. I have to turn off and on the controller to get it to work correctly again. Anyone else? Suggestions?

Sounds like a hardware problem. Give it a go through the steam controller menu? Disable a few options like vibration (the game shouldn't/can't even trigger it in the first place)

I know enabling or disabling steam input can help here, so I recommend changing that option at the game's properties through the steam library

I use this setup on every other game with zero issues.. I'll mess around with a few things that are this game specific.

I've been using an xbox controller haven't encountered this issue at all so far, ill let you know if it happens,

I had a different issue as well with an Xbox One controller. The game would stutter and freeze while on bluetooth so I used a cord and all the stuttering and freezing stopped. Didn't have that issue on other games, my controller did randomly DC sometimes (like every 20 hours of gameplay-ish) but that's about it.

This is a usual problem for wireless controllers on PC, I also had the same problem with many games using PS3 controller, PS4 controller and Xbox One controller, for some reason the wireless function is always broken, for some people are not and for some people specific games has this problem, but using a cable it will solve this issue, yes I would love to play wireless but I have no option and use it wired and it works with no fail.

Actually the game has vibration for controller, it uses it to signal when your special is charged.

You're right that it's probably a hardware error though, there's no reason the game should be disabling controls and my Xbox controller has never had this issue with this game.

Unfortunately not really helping, but just want to let you know, it's at least not a general problem with the game and xbox controllers. I use one and it's working without problems for me (xbox elite series 2, connected via BT).
