The Pit - Jump-Off Tutorial - Push Forward on PC Keyboard?

I am having a hard time with the Jump-Off Tutorial in The Pit. It says for second combo:
Left Mouse - Push Forward - Hold G

What the heck is push forward? I tried almost all possible key combinations, search the internet, but the only references I found were for PlayStation.

Which key (combination) is "Push Forward" on a PC keyboard?

Forward is whichever directional key moves Aloy towards her target at the time. So it's different depending on the camera position.

I tried "W" several times of course, that did not seem to work, but may have just been bad timing. I am reading this as if there would be a specific "push forward" move...

I was having trouble on this as well. I found that you need to be moving and hold G at the same time. I only managed it once so far.

Tutorial inputs are pretty jank... even on the Playstation version with a default controller. Any deviation equals an instant fail, even if the end result looks the same, it still counts as a failed input combo.

I found that by doing the "Hold-G" then tapping W just as your about to jump was the trick but timing is hard.
