I am still at the beginning but i have the feeling that this game is really overhyped, feels more like a 08/15 ubisoft game so far, the only good is the graphic but even here i have seen better games.
Story wise, my biggest annoyance is the lack of presence of the Zeniths. They basically don't do anything until the very end of the game and come across as too cartoonish rather than a real threat. They really needed a lot more development and screen-time as way too much was focused on the tribal war.
Burning Shores was far too short and felt more like a side mission. Seyka was a terrible character that I hope we never see or hear from again. I get what they were trying to do, develop Aloy more on a personal and emotional level, but they did it very badly and rushed to the point it feels forced and cringe worthy. When we get a third game (because you know there will be a third game) I hope Aloy gets the chance to grow with a character she actually has chemistry with rather than "Aloy, but worse and more obnoxious"
Combat was improved, but still needs work. Dodge doesn't seems to work half the time and far too many attacks will actually track you through the dodge. Too many weapons and weaves and just garbage loot in general.
A lot of smaller things I feel could have been done better. Like I said, it's good, but not as good as it should have been.
Lance Reddick (Sylens) passed away last year so they are in a pickle for game #3.
While it isn't impossible to write him out of the series (there are a few outs they could use), they may just recast him. It isn't that uncommon for characters to change voice actors. Particularly good ones can even make themselves sound like the original, or close enough that most people won't notice.
People will notice. Unless they have enough data to use AI, but they will still need to get permission from his family to use it.
One easy fix is to have Sylens involved in an accident where his face needs reconstructive work and also change the voice.
Or they can use already recorded lines and edit them to fit a new narrative. That is a very common thing to do.
I'm guessing they'll just hire another voice actor who sounds somewhat close to him.
nothing related to puzzles

- loving explorations, and retributions everywhere for it
- loving story and realistics Interrations characters.
- loving graphical quality even with old 2070 cards,
- Really like this game working on linux.
- Appreciate landscape variances and quality.
- loving the liberty of movements and action we have ( in water, in sky, on ground ... )
- Apreciate to switch to easy or story mode when it is time to farm for upgrade stuffs or win impossible or too long combat when you didn't understand how to use 80% of combat possibilities.

- Hating Some hardened mobs area repetitives attacks always on you, even you are not viewed from it ( fire bears ).
- don't like there is not enouth color possibility, making us playing with disgusting armor color. And it is not an args to play a + party. personnalized colors had been appreciated with an usage for color plant in function % of rgb or WCMJN usage in choice.
- Don't use 80% of existing attacks. never found how work explainded somes as area explosion or other tree aptitude. Only choosing better weapon for specific mob. And time encoded attacks are barely impossible to reproduce eatch time we want.
- Actions seems to be recorded and played. Some times it create bad unwanted actions
- Maybe i am becoming stupid, but don't found minigame interresting to play and to understand.
- It is difficult to choose a good keyboard layout for game without having some hands cramps( pleased, guys having a 5 button mouse or joysticks).
- surprised by the to linear story, making us to thinks we haven't any choices at all in fact.
- Some woke actions in dlc broke my interrest to aloy avatar or other secondaries.
It really needs a wheel similar to the weapon-wheel
his likeness they do not own. He was paid for them to use it. It doesn't give them permission to use it anyway they see fit. Especially upon death.
plenty of that in the game, Tilda and Elizabet were a couple, Alva is gay, petra leaves no question about her lust for Aloy, most of the rescue side quests are same sex couples -- the only openly hetero couple is Varl and Zo, but poor Varl is a puppy...
and yet those families have sued the pants off those companies. Many have won.
3 Apex Slaughterspine Hearts. 0 Slaughterspine Circulators... was there really any need to make them not 100% from Apex? ><
