I am still playing on PS5.
I use face paint and headgear to cover her cheeks, it helps.

I played the first game on steam with mods, including face mods.
I think it will happen eventually for this game too, I just hope it isn't behind a paywall.
I noticed some of the newer mods for the first game are behind a paywall.

Are you willing to pay for a face mod?

I found this message on nexusmods from a modder of the first game:

"To everyone asking about Horizon Forbidden West, I won't be modding it. Already got the game on ps4 and haven't played it yet, so I'll wait for sales on PC. I'm sure by then someone else will have done face reshape, there are already people hard at work figuring out the new file formats. Also I don't believe this mod works as-is on the second game, from what I heard a lot has changed about the archives. Happy modding!"

What if I ask you to change your face? Would you change it because I did ask you? Probably not, it is Aloy, it is a character the studio designed as to be like she is. Just take it or leave it, but do not waste our time asking for mods

Nothing wrong with wanting such mods, it's bit pointless to keep asking for them NOW though.
WTF is wrong with these guys, do they not understand there are no HFW modding tools yet & it took AGES (Years) for HZD to get the Decima Engine tools for character editing mods.

First there was a tool that could swap Aloy for any in game character, but they were more like a transmog, as it was a full model swap, or if you kept Aloy, you could wear any amour & have it look like another one using the mod..

Tools are being worked on, but a large amount has changed from HXD to HFW.

But STFU keep asking "are we there yet", we will wake you up when we get to face mods.

the hair is not an issue at all. it looks fine. hannah looks better in my opinion. if there was a change to aloy and it looks like it was one - it was not one to the better.

It's funny no one complained with the first game, considering that disregarding higher resolution textures and micro-detail - the only thing about the asset they worked on were the eyes and ears.

The only thing that comes to mind is that her eyes being seeming closer together makes her face "feel" wider or something.
